COLLABORATE

When Ninoy was arrested on the first day of Martial Law, he was suddenly silenced, and a Senator Benigno Simeon Aquino was once again branded a traitor. Beningo Aquino, Sr. became a collaborator because within the regime, he wanted to protect his Filipino from the iron first of the Japanese. Now, for Ninoy, it was impossible to become president. Marcos, Sr. listened to him as a fraternity brod.

If Ninoy had followed the path his father had chosen, would he have reduced what would become thousands of cases of enforced disappearances, torture, killings, and other abuses of the dictatorship?

The story continues behind “RESIST.”
